Your gift will go twice as far!!

During this time of uncertainty, there is one thing we can be sure of: homeless animals will rely on us for protection, compassion, love and care in the weeks and months ahead. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we've had to cancel our important Spring fundraising and outreach events. This means that our resources are stretched to the limit.

Thankfully, a beloved donor has stepped up with a $15,000 challenge grant to coincide with #GivingTuesdayNow – today’s online global day of giving and unity organized as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by the pandemic.

Your support makes a critical difference for the animals – now more than ever. Join our special #GivingTuesdayNow Match Challenge and your gift will go twice as far to provide medical care, safe haven and second chances for animals like Olive and Onion!

Olive and her sister Onion (pictured above!) arrived at HSSC from an overcrowded shelter right before Shelter in Place orders went into effect. Both puppies had ringworm, a condition that requires lengthy, intensive treatment. Often, shelters are faced with having to euthanize rather than treat this highly contagious condition.

Thankfully, we were able to take these sweet pups in and give them the medical care and time they needed to make a full recovery. And, once they were cleared medically, we were able to safely place them with families who will love them forever!

With your help, HSSC can continue to operate during this time of Shelter in Place and in the days to come as we continue to care for the animals who need us. And today, your gift will go twice as far!

Thank you so much!
