Are you ready to end 2021 on a high note with some wonderful news?

We are on track to place over 1,650 animals into loving homes this year!

That is a whole lot of animals!!

Behind each and every one of these sweet beings is a community of care that follows them throughout their journey to a loving new home. From the moment an animal lands in our care, our staff and volunteers work persistently to provide safe, cozy shelter, nutritious meals, veterinary care, individualized behavior support and copious amounts of nurturing until we can match them with a family committed to loving them forever. And once we place them into forever homes, we make sure their families have all the resources they need to keep their beloved pets safe and sound.

Right by our side, every step of the journey, is YOU.

That is a whole lot of love!

As the year comes to a close, we want to say Thank You.

Your support this past year has made every single happy ending possible!

We have a big year ahead, and your support is going to help us welcome all the animals who need love and hope in 2022.

If you’ve been wanting to give but haven't done so yet, now’s your chance to make your year-end donation.

❤️ Thank you for your amazing kindness! ❤️

How You Can Help

Prawn, a kitten treated for ringworm and adopted in July.

There are so many ways to help the animals. ❤️

For those of us who dearly love animals, the most meaningful gift we can offer is one that sustains their compassionate care into the future. Planned gifts to the Humane Society of Sonoma County have the power to do just that.

A bequest to HSSC in your will or trust protects the future of our donor-supported safe haven for animals. Every single gift means the world to animals desperate for hope, safety, comfort and the love of a forever home. Your kindness will live on in each one of their hearts – what a beautiful legacy of love.

As you work with your attorney, estate planner or financial advisor, please consider a charitable contribution to the Humane Society of Sonoma County. Many planned giving options offer significant tax benefits. For more information, please contact plocke@humanesocietysoco.org.

Molly, a sweet pittie mix adopted in June.

Adela, still available for adoption in Healdsburg!

Looking for a unique way to show someone your love is as solid as a brick? ❤

Pave your way into your favorite animal lover’s heart with a commemorative brick, and help the Humane Society of Sonoma County continue their life saving work!

For a donation, you can purchase a brick in honor of your true love, best human friend, or best furry friend. Or celebrate your love of animals with a heartfelt message inscribed with your own name. The Healdsburg Shelter Commemorative Brick Project offers an opportunity to be part of our life saving work - providing a safe haven, new beginnings and second chances for animals. (Bricks are installed in our Memorial Courtyard at the Healdsburg Shelter).

Help Us Raise the Roooof!!

We need to raise $200,000 to replace our Santa Rosa Shelter’s roof.

We’re turning to you to help us keep a roof over the animals’ heads – literally!

Our animal-adoring friends at ARS Roofing have pulled out all the stops to get us an amazing "cool roof" with a lifetime guarantee to protect the animals from ever more severe weather, save energy and significantly lower our utility bills.

Please help us keep our promise to the animals: to protect them and keep them safe, no matter what.

We will continue to post updates about
our programs and services on our
website and on our Facebook page as COVID response
continues.

Your ongoing support enables us to continue our lifesaving work for the animals during this challenging time.

Together we are providing protection, compassion, love and care. We are so grateful for this
connection which inspires so much hope.
